Burton Girls is an online community built by girls for girls, dedicated to sharing the best of snowboarding and our lifestyle. From riding, fitness and fashion to beauty, music and après, Burtongirls.com brings it all together for you, the Burton Girl… Welcome.
What a winter! The East Coast has been buried in snow, the riding at Stowe has never been better, and Jake, Timmy and I took an incredible trip to Burton’s office in China. The snowboarding community in China feels like it did in the U.S. back in the day with so much growth, enthusiasm, and excitement around the sport. Riding with Olympian Jiayu Liu in China was also a highlight. Her fun and infectious spirit embodies the true essence of a Burton Girl. Another stand-out moment from this winter was also how much women’s competitive snowboarding progressed. For the first time, all three women who landed on the US Open halfpipe podium had a 1080 in their run, which was super exciting to see. Now, with the US Open signaling the end of the contest season, I’m looking forward to enjoying some soulful spring turns at Stowe, digging into my garden again and going for a hike. After the long winters here in Vermont, we all catch a bit of spring fever. I also love this time of year because it represents new beginnings – whether its the new leaves coming out or our fresh spring Durable Goods line. As the days get longer and warmer, I invite you to check out everything we have to offer for all your warm weather adventures. From camping and hiking to floating and travelling, we have you covered every day, from start to finish. So let’s shed some layers and have as much fun as possible—and make the most out of everyday—whatever that looks like, wherever you are. Donna, President and Co-Owner
