Coachella: Yeah, we threw a party
Posted on by Amanda Wormann

In case you’ve been living under your shark hat and Hawaiian shirt all week, the Burton crew went to Coachella. Yes, I know. Sorry for the late notice but I’m finally starting to dust off the desert haze.

After flying all winter long chasing snow, we thought it’d be a nice break to mix in some desert heat. Jack Mitrani, Danny Davis, Hannah Teter and Gabi Viteri traded in their board bags for some wheelie double decks, and loaded up every floppy hat and hippie shirt they could find.

Now don’t get me wrong, we did work. But luckily we’re all firm believers in the play hard/work hard way of life because waking up at 5am to set up a party after falling asleep just a half hour earlier isn’t necessarily easy. Really though.

Our main mission this year was a pool party we threw at the Ace Hotel and Swim Club to introduce our new Spring/Summer collection to festival goers, friends, media and celebrities a like. Go ahead, insert yawn here. But trust me when I say – not all celebs are lamo. Enter Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, easily my two new favorite humans. Nice, fun, know how to have a good time and definitely easy on the eyes. Oh and did I mention they snowboard? Good people.

And without further adieu, the paparazzi shots…
