You’d think that hanging out with a Monster-sponsed pro-shred like Zak Hale would get you some pull at the Monster party…but no dice. Finding those Monster invites are gold. After watching slope finals with the lovebirds Zak Hale and Gabi Viteri (two of my favorite humans, FYI) it was go time. We downed some coffee and schnapps and finally managed to get the party pass hook up through one of Zak’s friends and made our way to the gondola.
Well aren’t they cute.
Team riders or not, I’d hang out with them anyways. Zak Hale and Gabi Viteri are two of my favorite friends.
Every year, the X-Games Monster Party is one of the hottest tickets in town. The party is at the top of the mountain so the only way up is 20 minute gondi ride to the top. And yea, there’s no electricity in those babies, just a straight cold, pitch black gondi ride. The lovely lift guys did hook up every party goer with a blanket though; I wish they did that all hours of the day.

The party started off with a shot for Sarah; a powerful moment with 300+ people toasting in celebration of her life.
Then the Trouble Gang took the stage and rocked the night away.
