I don’t know if you heard but last week I took a nasty fall at the last stop of the Dew Tour in Snowbasin. It’s probably one of the WORST falls I’ve taken in my whole career, and my shoulder dislocated when I hit the deck. Ski patrol helped me put it back into place.
This is about the 8th time my shoulder has dislocated, but it’s been two years since it last happened! I think it’s been so long since my last dislocation because I received a therapy called PRP (platelet rich plasma) where they inject your own bio-plasma back into your ligament to help it re-grow. It’s great and I think a way better alternative to being sliced and diced open. So unfortunately I am not attending World Champs in Norway right now, or the European Open, but I will be able to ride at the Burton U.S. Open in my home state of VERMONT!
I do feel humbled and take this as a reminder to be grateful everyday and not take anything for granted.
See you soon!
