The end of the season is always bittersweet. And while it’s difficult to see it come to an end, one of the biggest things I look forward to is our yearly Rider Roundtable in Long Island.
The Rider Roundtable is a chance for all of our team riders to come together with our product managers and marketing team to review the line that’s currently in progress. By this time of the year, most of the riders have had a chance to test out the new gear, so we’ll review each and every product to get their feedback on what’s working well and what they’d like to see updated or changed before it hits production. Consider it their seal of approval.

At Burton, we talk a lot about The Process – and while the Rider Roundtable is just a small part of it, it’s arguably the most important part and my personal favorite. Without the rider’s feedback and direction on what we dream up behind the walls of 80 Industrial (global headquarter address of Burton Snowboards), we wouldn’t be able make the things we do.

Most importantly, the Rider Roundtable is a great chance for us to hang with the team and all of the awesome personalities that make up the larger Burton family. Skating, surfing, yoga…it’s a relaxing way to wind down and celebrate another great year doing what we love.

Once it started raining, Mikkel took a trip to the hardware store and lead the group in building a makeshift cover for the ramp. Team building at its finest.
