Women Who Run with the Wolves

A few years ago, my friend Kelly recommended a book to me that would blow my mind, change my life and remain a staple in my library. That book is Women Who Run With The Wolves by poet and Jungian psychoanalyst Clarissa Pinkola Estes. I’ve passed it on to many of my girlfriends as I think it’s a book that every woman should have and read.

Women Who Run With The Wolves is a collection of stories, folktales, and myths from all over the world that relate to the inner life of women, from our deepest pains to our greatest joys. Overall, the book shows the need for women to connect with our instinctual selves, that Wild Woman.

I’ve found it a most comforting read, with many of the stories relating to things that I’m going through at the time or have gone through already. It’s amazing that no matter how far we’ve come as modern women in this crazy world, we still share a similar struggle with women who came long before us: trusting that voice within that motivates and inspires us to be our best.

I think all you Burton Wild Women out there will really dig it:)
