In taking a break from my workaholic music schedule, my most recent excursion was an escape to the sunny island of Aruba. It was only for a few short days but no matter, clear water oceans are healing even in short doses. Aruba definitely surprised me with its landscape. It was an even mix of white sand beaches and desert terrain. At moments I couldn’t tell if I was in Texas or the Caribbean. Either way it was still an escape from the busy life in the black apple. My turtles! They weren’t actually mine. They lived at the hotel. But every time I mentioned them, they would come up for air, stick their cute little heads up and wink at me. (well maybe not wink)
